Where the firm responds substantively, the response is attributable to the firm. The firm does not comment on the substance, status or existence of any individual engaged file. Comment is offered on sector matters — regulatory framework, supervisory architecture, the mechanics of merchant claims against regulated PSPs — where the firm holds a defensible institutional view.
The firm engages on background where the journalist or analyst is preparing substantive sector coverage and where attribution can be agreed in advance. Background material is not provided in respect of identified merchants, identified counterparties or active investigations by competent authorities.
